The non-profit Corporation for Public Broadcasting says it's planning to shut down after losing Congress funding, amid U.S. President Donald Trump's allegations that public media spread views contrary to what the U.

The company is among the first casualties of a vote to strip roughly $500 million in federal funding from NPR, PBS and local stations across the country.

Public broadcasting is constantly fighting to stay afloat, relying on public donations and federal support, and it sounds like they lost this battle, but hopefuly, not the war.
