The Police Records Access Project database, now available to the public, contains roughly 1.5 million pages of records from 12,000 officer-misconduct and use-of-force cases in California.

The Los Angeles Times today published the Police Records Access Project, a new searchable database featuring once-secret police records.

The project began after California legislators approved a series of laws aimed at improving law-enforcement transparency.

Search California public records about law enforcement use of force and misconduct from more than 700 agencies. Results are organized into cases attributed to the agency providing the records. Information about a case can change as agencies submit new or updated records.
