Tropical Storm Henriette was strengthening in the central Pacific Ocean far northeast of Hawaii and could become a hurricane but posed no threat to land, the National Hurricane Center said Sunday. The storm was located about 415 miles (670 kilometers) north-northeast of Hilo,

The National Hurricane Center is tracking two tropical waves in the eastern and central Atlantic Ocean, far from the U.S. coast.

Henriette regained tropical storm strength in the Pacific Ocean well east of Hawaii on Saturday, but forecasters said it was still not expected to pose a threat to land.
