Fed Governor Lisa Cook said that the weak July jobs report and large downward revisions suggest the U.S. economy could be at a "turning point" as businesses face elevated uncertainty.

The Canadian economy shed more than 40,000 jobs in July, according to a new report released by Statistics Canada on Friday. A majority of the job losses were among young people aged 15 to 24.
