The French government will deport a Gaza student accused of reposting alleged antisemitic content on her social media and halt all evacuations from the territory, the country’s foreign minister said Friday as outrage grows over her reposts.

A student from Gaza who had been studying in France on a scholarship left for Qatar Sunday, ordered out over anti-Semitic comments found on her social media accounts, the foreign ministry said.

She had her admission rescinded last week after it came to light that she had shared posts praising Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel and appearing to call for the death of Jews. One included a picture of Adolf Hitler.

The French foreign minister said France will suspend its program to receive Palestinians from conflict-torn Gaza after the Sciences Po Lille university revoked a student's accreditation over the online posts.

France has suspended all evacuations from Gaza while it investigates how a student accused of sharing violently antisemitic content online was allowed to enter the country and enrol at a top university.

France is halting its evacuations of Gazans as outrage grows over a Palestinian student's antisemitic posts. The country's foreign minister said the student "has no place" in France.

Following an investigation into past antisemitic social media posts, Palestinian student Nour Atallah has been deported to Qatar to complete her studies.
