Two tropical cyclones are swirling across the ocean southeast of Hawaii but forecasters don't expect them to cause any issues for the islands.

Forecasters say Tropical Storm Gil has formed in the eastern Pacific Ocean and isn’t expected to threaten land as it strengthens

Forecasters are now tracking Iona, the first named tropical storm of the season in the central North Pacific. Stable weather conditions with lots of sun and lighter winds. Probable increase in the clouds and showers over the windward side of the islands today. Mostly sunny with dry conditions headed into the weekend.

The hurricane is centred well south of Hawaii, and an indirect impact will be downward pressure winds from the hurricane, creating dry and breezy conditions.

Tropical Storm Iona becomes the first named storm in the Central Pacific , it is forecast to become a hurricane but remain well-south of Hawaii. The storm could increase wave heights for surfers and those on vacation should be aware.

Tropical Depression One-C formed south of Hawaii in the Central Pacific Ocean late Saturday night local time, and the National Hurricane Center said the system will likely become a tropical storm.

The National Hurricane Center says Tropical Storm Henriette has formed in the Pacific Ocean. Forecasters say Henriette is centered 895 miles southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula on Monday.
