Warner Bros. has made a major box office recovery in recent months, setting a record and potentially changing the course of Hollywood forever.

While we tend to look at box office records as a question of who can put up the biggest numbers, having the biggest movie of the year may be cold comfort if the rest of your slate of films bombs. Warner Bros. in 2025 actually has the highest-grossing (domestic) movie of the year, but even more importantly, it hasn’t seen a major flop in months.

Warner Bros is making sure we leave the theaters entertained, which has led to a major box office record. The studio's last six theatrically released films have earned over $40 million on their opening weekends in the North American market. According to Discussing Film, it is the first studio to achieve this feat with its consecutive releases.
