By Jeff Mason (Reuters) -From firing people to promoting jeans, calling for peace deals or the renaming of a sports team, President Donald Trump keeps a lot on his proverbial to-do list. Much of it is unrelated to running the country.

The president twice remarked on American Eagle’s provocative ad campaign, praising its star Sydney Sweeney, which appeared to boost the brand’s stock price.

Trump added on Truth Social: “Sydney Sweeney, a registered Republican, has the HOTTEST ad out there. It’s for American Eagle, and the jeans are “flying of the shelves.” Go get ‘em Sydney.”

The president called her much-debated jeans campaign the “HOTTEST” ad out there, which seemed to start a stock rally.
