Savannah Blackstock Lee, the daughter of Brandon Blackstock, revealed she was expecting a child with her husband just one month before the death of her father.

Brandon Blackstock was the father of four. He shared Savannah and her brother Seth with his first wife, Melissa Ashworth, whom he married in 2001. The couple divorced in 2012. He later married Kelly Clarkson, with whom he had two more children — daughter River, born in 2014, and son Remington, born in 2016.

Brandon Blackstock, Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband and talent manager, has died of cancer, his family said Thursday. He was 48. “Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years,” a representative for the Blackstock family shared in a statement to The Associated Press.

Kelly Clarkson was absent from her talk show earlier this year because her late ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, was ill with cancer.
