The National Weather Service said more flash flooding will be possible in Alabama on Sunday, and a flood watch has been expanded and extended. Forecasters said scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms could drop more heavy rain through the day today and tonight.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for parts of Connecticut from Thursday afternoon through Friday, according to a statement sent by AccuWeather.

NWS expects the heat value to go up to 110 degrees. The organization warns that hot temperatures, coupled with humidity, may cause heat illness. Precautionary measures provided by NWS include drinking plenty of water, staying out of the sun and staying in air-conditioned rooms.
