Buckley has had a long coaching career, mostly as an assistant. He has worked on coaching staffs at Wisconsin, Marquette, Iowa, Indiana, South Carolina and, most recently, Cincinnati. He also spent three seasons at UNLV, two of which were under T.J. Otzelberger before Otzelberger was hired at Iowa State.
