Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis reflect on how Darren Aronofsky tried and failed to push a rivalry between the two stars on the set of 'Black Swan'

Darren Aronofsky recalled unsuccessfully trying to start a feud between Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis to ramp up the onscreen tension in 'Black Swan': 'They're both very clever and were instantly privy.

In 2010, Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis rocked the movie theaters with their psychological ballet thriller, Black Swan. The film won Portman an Oscar for Best Actress, and it’s hard to believe that 15 years have passed since the women stepped into the physically and mentally challenging roles.

The Black Swan cast and director recently recalled how Darren Aronofsky attempted to start a feud between the lead stars, Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis, during filming. The 2010 horror-thriller follows ballet dancer Nina (Portman) as she competes with Lily (Kunis) for the lead role in a production of Swan Lake.

"I drank a lot of broth and danced for 12 hours a day," Kunis said of her transformation into a professional ballerina.
