The Texas House of Representatives has failed to meet a quorum for the third time this week as Democratic lawmakers continue their walkout to block a vote on congressional voting maps sought by President Donald Trump in a widening national battle over redistricting.

While the map is accurate, the House seat was not "stolen" by Democrats — the district was drawn by the Republican-controlled Texas state legislature.

Texas Republicans have proposed a new congressional map for the state, with the goal of flipping five Democratic seats in next year’s midterm elections.
