A police officer has been arrested for allegedly receiving child pornography, according to the feds. Haverhill man John Giarrusso, 49 — a cop in Seabrook, N.H. — has been charged with one count of receipt of child pornography.

The teacher reportedly told investigators he was part of a Kik group called "Teachers for Students," and that pornography was shared in the group, charging documents allege.

A Texas man was arrested after investigators tied him to dozens of child pornography videos shared through the messaging app Kik, according to a criminal complaint.

Seabrook Police Officer John Giarrusso, a 49-year-old resident of Haverhill, is slated to face a judge in federal court in Boston after he was rearrested on Thursday morning and charged with one count of receipt of child pornography, according to United States Attorney for Massachusetts Leah B. Foley.

Lester Winters, Jr. pleaded guilty to dissemination of child pornography by a sex offender, a class X felony, on Aug. 12. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison on that charge.
