Canada has joined France and Britain in announcing plans to recognize a Palestinian state in September as international pressure builds on Israel over the ongoing starvation crisis and war in Gaza.

As heart-wrenching scenes of starvation and malnutrition continue to emerge from war-torn Gaza. Some countries in recent days have come out and categorically stated that they will recognize the state of Palestine.
