A minke whale died Saturday in a Jersey Shore bay a short time after videos showed it collide with a boat, nearly capsizing the vessel and throwing a person overboard.

Video footage shared on social media captured a 20-foot minke whale colliding with a motorboat, causing it to rock violently and throw a woman overboard.

One person was knocked overboard when the whale nearly capsized the boat by crashing into it, the Marine Mammal Stranding Center said on Facebook.
