Former Governor Chris Sununu warns Trump's tariffs on India alarm US manufacturers, risking billions in trade and straining ties with a key ally over Russian oil imports.

News of the additional levy on Indian imports has earned mixed reactions from Washington trade groups and businesses.

In an executive order, Trump says "I find that the Government of India is currently directly or indirectly importing Russian Federation oil" and due to those purchases, imports of Indian goods into the United States "shall be subject to an additional ... rate of duty of 25%."
