Russia’s national airline Aeroflot was forced to cancel dozens of flights on Monday after a massive cyber attack caused the company’s computer systems to fail. A hacking group called Silent Crow claimed responsibility for the action, alongside an outfit known as Cyber Partisans.

Russia’s flagship airline, Aeroflot, canceled dozens of flights after a cyberattack claimed by the pro-Ukrainian hacking group Silent Crow on the airline’s IT system. Silent Crow said it carried out the attack with the Belarusian group Cyberpartisans.

Aeroflot canceled 54 of its 260 scheduled flights for the day due to the cyber attack, and an undetermined number of others experienced some amount of delay. 22 outbound flights from Moscow were subsequently canceled the following day,

A cyber attack on Russia's largest airline on Monday saw dozens of canceled flights after a pro-Ukraine team took responsibility for hacking airline computer systems.

Responsibility for the cyberattack was claimed by a Ukrainian hacker group called Silent Crow along with a Belarusian hacker activist group known as the Cyber-Partisans.

Russian prosecutor said it opened a criminal investigation into the cyberattack targeting Aeroflot, the largest airline in Russia.

A cyberattack on Russian state-owned flagship carrier Aeroflot caused a mass outage to the company’s computer systems on Monday, Russia’s prosecutor’s office said, forcing the airline to cancel more than 100 flights and delay others.

A cyberattack on Aeroflot's internal systems caused the cancellation of up to 50 flights, prompting the Kremlin to seek further information. The group Silent Crow, identified as pro-Ukrainian, has claimed responsibility for the attack.

MOSCOW (Reuters) -Russian prosecutors on Monday opened a criminal investigation into unauthorised access to computer systems at Aeroflot, the Prosecutor General's office said, after the airline blamed an IT failure for the cancellation of dozens of flights.

Russian airline Aeroflot cancelled dozens more flights on Tuesday but said it had now stabilised its schedule after a major cyberattack a day earlier, and the transport ministry said the issue had been resolved.
