The incident is the latest in a series of deadly police shootings in Vancouver, including a man who was shot in the head by Vancouver police in December and an armed carjacker who was shot by sheriff’s deputies while fleeing into an American Legion building in March.

The Washington State Office of Independent Investigations (OII) is looking into an incident where a Clark County deputy shot and killed a man who allegedly threatened to kill himself and his parent.
