Officials said they continue to search for the remains of missing 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro after his parents were arrested for the child's murder.

Rebecca and Jake Haro were charged with murder in relation to their son Emmanuel’s death. The 7-month-old boy was reported kidnapped by Rebecca Haro on Thursday, Aug. 14, and just over a week later she and her husband were arrested.

Officials in San Bernardino on Wednesday said investigators followed up on reports of a possible sighting of Emmanuel Haro in Kern County, but he remains missing.

The parents of 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro have been detained on murder suspicion after his mother reported his kidnapping in California.

Emmanuel Haro was reported missing on Thursday after someone attacked his mother outside of a Big 5 Sporting Goods store in the 34500 block of Yucaipa Boulevard, according to the family. Mother Rebecca Haro said she was changing her baby's diaper when someone punched her. When she came to, she ran into the sporting goods store and called 911.
