Drummer Lars Ulrich said the band is open to headlining two of the biggest stages in entertainment during an interview with Howard Stern on SiriusXM.

While guesting on 'The Howard Stern Show,' the Metallica drummer addressed two big rumors that have been swirling recently.

Metallica's Lars Ulrich discussed the prospects of the band performing at the Las Vegas Sphere and the Super Bowl in an August 2025 interview.

Among them are Kris Kristofferson’s “For the Good Times,” a 1972 B-side first released in 1995; Paul Williams’ “Where Do I Go from Here,” from 1973’s “Elvis”; Billy Swan’s “I Can Help” and Don McLean’s “And I Love You So,” both taken from 1975’s “Today.”

Metallica are rumoured to be "ready to ink a deal" for a residency at Las Vegas' Sphere in 2026. Sin City publication Vital Vegas made the claim after lead guitarist Kirk Hammett revealed the heavy metal legends are eager to play the state-of-the-art venue on The Strip.
