Seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton has said his debut season at Ferrari is going worse than any other season in his career. The Brit made the switch to the iconic Italian team ahead of the 2025 campaign in what was branded by many as a fairytale linkup, but so far, it has been more akin to a nightmare.

While Lewis Hamilton is not retiring, he and Ferrari did perhaps “underestimate” the challenge of his adaptation. That is the concession made by Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur, with Hamilton having hit a new mental low at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Talk of a retirement announcement, however, has since been put to bed.
