HBO Max has given a series order to Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, an upcoming Big Bang Theory spinoff. Kevin Sussman will reprise his role as comic book store owner Stuart Bloom. The sci-fi comedy is said to feature "alternate-universe versions" of Big Bang Theory characters, so expect lots of cameos.

Stuart Saves the Universe adds three more to its growing cast, bringing back familiar Big Bang Theory actors for significant recurring roles.

The upcoming “Big Bang Theory” spinoff “Stuart Fails to Save the Universe” has several alums from the OG series on the cast — but some of them are playing new characters. Ryan Cartwright and Josh Brener will play Kyle and Trevor,
