‘The Big Bang Theory’ spinoff adds two alums to cast — but they’re playing new characters
Both actors previously popped up in “The Big Bang Theory,” which aired on CBS from 2007-2019. Cartwright played Penny’s (Kaley Cuoco) classmate in episode 8 of season 6, and Brener appeared in two episodes — episode 10 of season 5 and episode 16 of season 6 — as a comic book store employee named Dale.
