Search for 6-year-old boy who fell into Housatonic River now a recovery effort
The search for a 6-year-old boy is ongoing in Stratford after he reportedly fell into the Housatonic River at a boat ramp on Wednesday. The boy fell into the river around 1:30 p.m. while walking on the Birdseye Boat Ramp, according to Capt. Jerry Pinto of the Stratford Police Department.

Jerry Pinto told the Stamford Advocate. “This is one of the toughest things you can do in your career, the death of a young boy or a young child .”
