Reports of a potential complete Israeli takeover of the Gaza Strip have been growing despite international outrage over the worsening hunger crisis and calls for a ceasefire. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a three-hour security discussion Tuesday in which the options were presented for proceeding with the campaign in Gaza.

Of the 38 Palestinians killed while seeking aid, at least 28 died in the Morag Corridor, an Israeli military zone in southern Gaza where U.N. convoys have been repeatedly overwhelmed by looters and desperate crowds in recent days, and where witnesses say Israeli forces have repeatedly opened fire.
