Twenty-five people aboard a Delta Air Lines flight were hospitalized after the flight encountered "significant" turbulence Wednesday, the airline said.

A passenger on the Delta flight that took off from Salt Lake City and landed in Minneapolis after turbulence, resulting in 25 being hospitalized, is now considering filing a lawsuit against the airline.

The flight, which was taking 275 passengers from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam, made an emergency landing in Minneapolis on Wednesday evening, the airline said.

A plane made an emergency landing at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on Wednesday after dozens of people were injured by "significant" in-flight turbulence, according to the airline. The airport says Delta Air Lines Flight 56 en route from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam diverted to MSP, landing safely around 7:45 p.m.
