The Hall of Fame game was not a good night for the Detroit Lions. Even more so, it was not a good night for former third-round pick Hendon Hooker. He finished the night going just 3-6 for 18 yards and an interception.

The Lions have one of, if not the best running back tandem in the NFL in David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs. The challenge, sometimes, is finding a way to get both on the field at the same time, given all the top players on Detroit’s offense. But sometimes, that’s not a challenge at all.

Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell will continue his rotation between Hendon Hooker and Kyle Allen between the second-team and third-string units throughout at least the next week. On Sunday, Campbell stated that Hooker will start the team's second preseason game,

Detroit Lions fans are chomping at the bit for an edge rusher who can take up the mantle across from Aidan Hutchinson. While the Lions may not have that big star power guy there, they have a solid rotation with young guys who are climbing up the ladder and looking to get more time.
