Microsoft has unveiled Copilot 3D, an AI-powered tool from Copilot Labs made to make 3D modelling more accessible to a wide audience. Using Copilot 3D, users can turn a single 2D image, PNG, or JPG under 10MB into a rendered 3D model in GLB format that can be used in animation, gaming, 3D printing, etc.

Copilot 3D is part of Copilot Labs, Microsoft’s preview space for experimental features. It’s designed to make 3D creation “fast, accessible and intuitive,” allowing anyone to generate a 3D model from a single image in formats compatible with most game engines,
