Federal agents arrested Chicago resident Juan Espinoza Martinez for allegedly offering $10,000 to kill a Border Patrol officer involved in Operation Midway Blitz.

Democratic Gov. JB Pritzker called the move unnecessary and “a manufactured performance — not a serious effort to protect public safety.”
