The Milwaukee Brewers honored legendary broadcaster Bob Uecker on Sunday with an emotional celebration of life, paying tribute to his 55 years as the voice of the Brewers.

The Brewers honored Uecker with a celebration of life tribute prior to the Brewers-Giants game Aug. 24. The ceremony was hosted by fellow Hall of Fame broadcaster Bob Costas, who worked with Uecker on national NBC telecasts.

The Milwaukee Brewers are riding a historic surge, posting a 42-14 record since June 19, the best stretch in the majors over that period. Their run has pushed them to the top spot in baseball and given them a strong path toward the number one seed in the NL Playoffs.

The Milwaukee Brewers are auctioning off their game-worn "Ueck" jerseys from yesterday's Bob Uecker Celebration of Life game. All of the proceeds go to charity and the auctions run through September 8.
