A 13-year-old boy on a bicycle was struck by a vehicle and severely injured in Antioch on Monday, authorities said.

A 13-year-old boy was critically injured in a bike accident in Antioch; the driver is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

Officers were called just after 4 a.m. to an apartment complex in the 5100 block of Rice Road in Antioch, where they found an injured juvenile. The teen was taken to the hospital for treatment and is expected to survive. The teen was reportedly injured during a shooting at Hamilton Creek Recreation Area, then driven to Antioch.
